Differential RCS characterizes the aptitude of a tag to modulate backscattered power. This parameter is classically estimated based on variation in-phase and quadrature (IQ) channels in time domain. communication introduces generalization by new definition delta frequency The analytical model stochastic processes allows estimate from power spectral density modulated signal tag. associated measurement compared classical time-domain-based methods. Results show good agreement with difference between different approaches less than 0.5 dB. Finally, proposed method relies simple synchronization emitter receiver while maintaining accuracy.
